Oh deary me … how is the world turning at this speed? And why does it always start raining just before you have to collect the kids from school? And why (when you have gone to the trouble of moving to a new house, that looks much cosier and easier to keep warm) is the pesky electricity bill just as big as it was before?
I have lots more questions of this nature… if only I had time to answer them.
It’s all go at 1/1 HQ, a very successful visit to Melbourne just a couple of weeks ago has secured large truckloads of fabulous new stuff to tickle your fancy, especially in the run up to Christmas. Oh dear, I mentioned it, sorry. I just had lunch with my gorgeous friend who expertly trampled all over my best strawberries by informing me that (once again) the Christmas shopping is stitched up for this year. I’m trying not to weep. All I’ve managed so far is a smash and grab in the Target Toy Sale to put the usual carton load of plastic crappery on lay by. Must remember to go and actually flick some dollars at it over the coming months so I don’t suffer more bill-shock come December.
Looming large in the calendar are a couple of outings for the 1/1 Oompa Loompas. We have a stall at the King’s Art Show and Market (Friday 26th evening only, and Sat & Sun 27th/ 28th August). It sounds like this year’s will be a fantastic market in the lovely setting of The King’s School in Parramatta.
We are also supporting our own fabulous Wahroonga Public School Fete on Sat 27th August. Come on down and say hello, have a nosey at the new goodies, eat cakes and maybe tuck away a couple of those yummy Gozleme thingos you always find at markets. I’ve heard they contain absolutely zero calories when consumed in fresh air. Excellent.
You might have seen one for you / one for me featured in lots of lovely print media lately, that is because we have been flogging the PR dept and, quite frankly, it seems to have been rather effective. Long may it continue!
Check in soon for a heads up on the new goodies.
Over and out.
